Be aware that Redding’s Auction Service in Gettysburg PA will be offering a Winchester M67 in .22 Long Rifle Shot.

The auction will be held on Sunday November 6th. Redding’s offers live, onsite bidding plus internet type and they do not charge a buyer’s premium.
I don’t know anything more about the gun other than what Redding’s has described.

I’ve owned 2 and still have one so wouldn’t call them extremely rare but you don’t see a lot of them. They use the same bead sight as the winchester model 12. The last one I saw sell brought $3550.00 so it will be interesting to see what this one brings.

In that case, you ought to be in a position to tell me something I’ve always wanted to know: the effective range of a smoothbore, compared to a rifled brl. “Effective range” for this pipsqueak cartridge I would define as a pattern not exceeding about 10″ in dia. In a rifled brl, I don’t think that range is more than 25-30 ft.
Will be watching it. I picked one up last year. This is the tuff version to find withal sights. Mine is show in pictures in another thread.

I’ve only shot it once to make sure it would fire. Cleaned it and put it away. Mine is about a 98% so not something I’m going to take out and beat around.

I talked with the nice folks there at Redding’s Auction Service and requested the gavel price of the Win M67 .22 Long Rifle Shot per above.
The gun sold for $4700.00. They do not charge a buyer’s fee.
I’m sure it made a Winchester .22 collector very happy.
I should have the gavel price for the Win M62A in .22 Smoothbore described in another thread in a day or two.

That price makes me very happy. I remember how upset my wife was when I gave $1950 for mine.
