In that case, you ought to be in a position to tell me something I’ve always wanted to know: the effective range of a smoothbore, compared to a rifled brl. “Effective range” for this pipsqueak cartridge I would define as a pattern not exceeding about 10″ in dia. In a rifled brl, I don’t think that range is more than 25-30 ft.

I talked with the nice folks there at Redding’s Auction Service and requested the gavel price of the Win M67 .22 Long Rifle Shot per above.
The gun sold for $4700.00. They do not charge a buyer’s fee.
I’m sure it made a Winchester .22 collector very happy.
I should have the gavel price for the Win M62A in .22 Smoothbore described in another thread in a day or two.
