Hello

I have a 9422m Texas Edition, with a colorcase receiver. From what I think I know about it, it was a special run, possibly for a 3rd party, like Cabela’s or something. Limited numbered runs to 500 in s/l/lr, and magnum. May have been other configurations in the run, like Trapper. I believe they have XTR wood as well. It is a fantastic, and beautiful rifle, and I would like to know more about it please.

I found out they were a special order. Forged and milled receivers, no stamped pot metal parts. I think made after 2000. So not much more information, but a little anyways.

The 9422’s with case colored receivers were a special run for CDNN Sports out of Texas.  Each should have a TX serial number prefix.  I’m not sure how many were produced, and they did have a run in the Trapper configuration as well.

They were produced in standard length and Trapper versions in 2004 for CDNN Sports of Abilene, Texas. I have seen it reported as there were 500 made in 22 L/LR and 500 on 22WRM. It is speculation on my part but, based on serial numbers that I have observed, I suspect there may be a total of 2,000 (500 standard in 22 LLR, 500 standard chambered in 22Magnum and 500 Trappers in 22 LLR and 500 in 22Mag). ……..
