I purchased an interesting 75 that i’m trying to figure out what it is.  I believe its a Target model that someone at some point had converted to a sporter but i’m not 100% positive. It has a Mannlicher stock and I dont think Winchester ever made anything like it. Its just a really beautiful gun that I hope I didn’t pay to much for. 🙂  I’m new to the forum and cant figure out how to upload photos.  The Serial #is 37**

Winchester never made a model 75 musket.  That’s what the full stocked model would of been called. Its an interedting idea,  but is of no collector value so I hope it shoots straight.

I tried the link above and it requires me to have a Flickr account to view the photos (which I don’t have).  Is there some other way you can host the pictures?

I HAVE an account, though I haven’t used it in some time. Now, however, the FAHs tell me I have to change my browser–which causes me NO problems with any other website!  I’m not loading down my computer with unwanted sh!t merely to view their site.

It doesn’t. Though Imgur is less troublesome than other hosting sites.

Hi James,

That is indeed a Model 75 Target that has been lovingly modified by an end user.  The stock is an aftermarket custom and the rifle has been re-blued with additional scope mounting holes drilled at the rear of the receiver as well as tip-off scope mount grooves machined into the top of the receiver.

It is a nice looking rifle although it has no collector value.  They are very accurate rifles and with the features added to yours it makes a nice shooter.

Realistic value is between $300-$400.

Hope that helps.
