I have a early Model 69 that has swivels and a NOBUCKL sling. The rifle is practically unused. It also has Mossberg #6 scope and mount which I know is an after purchase add-on. Were these rifles sold with the sling or was it added on later as well. Thanks, Dana69-target-005.JPGImage Enlarger69-target-006.JPGImage Enlarger

Nice looking rig!

The Kerr NoBuckl sling was a factory option for the early Model 69 however the sling swivels on your 69 are not Winchester and are not installed in the standard location so I would assume from that the sling was added later.

Thanks for the info. The sling is 1 1/4″ wide. I have had several model 57’s with the NOBUCKL sling, but as I remember, they were 1″. Thanks, Dana

The early Model 57’s came with 1″ sling swivels and the late 57’s came with 1 1/4″.  Winchester offered both the 1″ and the 1 1/4″ NoBuckl slings as catalogued accessories.

Thanks for the help. Someone set this rifle up to shoot, but didn’t use it much. I wish the scope base wasn’t mounted to the gun, but it  kind of neat that the scope box has stayed with it all these years. Should be a fun shooter. Thanks again, Dana

Aren’t the Kerrs actually 7/8″ for rifles like the M60-A Target? That is never mentioned.

Chances are his sling is a standard M1917 sling from WW1, or a WW2 Thompson SMG.     Big Larry

I have a nearly identical rifle with the Mossberg scope. I have seen others like it on Gunbroker. It looks like it was a fairly common modification.

THIS ALL STARTED WITH JUST ONE GUN!
