I have obtained a Winchester Miniature Target Bore model 67 that is in the original Winchester box and appears to have never been assembled. The box says Model 67 .22 long rifle shot G6716R. The box is in very good condition for the age. I have done some research on the rifle and know it appears to be very rare. I am looking to find out all I can about this rifle and so I am asking for any information I can get. Thanks in advance.
From Herbert Houze book To The Dreams of Youth.
On April 241940 a miniature target bored Model 67 was added to the line. This version was fitted with a 24 inch smooth bored barrel(skeet choked) chambered for the 22 long rifle shot cartridge. In place of the standard sight, the miniature target Model 67 was fitted with a Model 81A front sight and Model 94B rear sight as used on the Model 12 Shotgun.
Great find. They do come up for sale not often but I don’t think I’d call them very rare. ( new in box yes very rare).
I have never seen production numbers. Hopefully someone here can help out on that.
Those I’ve seen sell go from $1200 to $2000 depending on condition. I believe you could add another 50 percent for the box if it is the correct one and not a fake.( yes they are being faked)
Would like to see pictures. As a guest you need to host to a photo sharing sight and provide a link.
Have a great day
