Just thought I would share two of my 22s that I have. These are both Winchester Model 61s and they have octagon barrels, a bit unusual for the 61s.
Both of these are great shooters. The 22lr came with the sights, a nice bonus. I have a tang sight to stick on the 22wrf, just haven’t gotten to it yet.

Thanks for sharing, the sights on that 22LR are indeed a nice bonus. Nice rifles!

Good morning,
The OB Model 61’s are definitely a very classy looking rifle. I have several in my collection also in all three chamber variations. I would love to add your two rifles into my survey if they are not already. Can I get the serial numbers of each?
The OB rifles are found up until approximately SN 80,000. I have sampled 2,116 individual examples which corresponds to 29.7% or about a possible 23,760 octagon barrel configuration rifles from the total production of the model. Of those the .22 L.R comprise 48% or about 11,404 rifles. The Short only and W.R.F versions are almost equal in number at 25% (5,940) and 27% (6,415) each.
