I want to buy a older Winchester 22 Pump action that shoots shorts, longs, and long rifles, under $1000. I want a gun that I can shoot, not one that I would be afraid to take out of the safe. I know nothing about the Winchester rim fires, so what model would you consider? Thanks Steve
If looking for a pump action only, something affordable, and available I would probably go with a Winchester Model 62A. I bought one a few years ago for $400.00 for the kids to use. It was in 95%+ condition but the only detraction was that someone had tapped the left side of the barrel for a scope.
If your just in the market looking for a good reliable 22 pump that you can ride hard and put up wet, and doesnt require a huge cash outlay, Rossi made several that look identical to the Winchester models. Ive got two of them and both shoot great after 40+ years of use.
