Farmboy-
Price of 9422’s seems to be climbing but the buyers are not traditional collectors. The market seems to be flooded with like new offerings. I’ll have a better idea Monday, I’ll have an early 9422M and a later 9422 XTR on my table at the TGCA show in Waco, both 98% guns.
What’s he asking?

Have a chance to buy the 9422M from a gun show acquaintance. I looked it over, decent wood, unfired. Pistol grip. What are these guns valued at these days?
There is no such thing as an “unfired” Winchester.
Does it have checkered or plain stocks?

Farmboy;
A little more info – you mentioned that the rifle has a pistol grip, this makes it the Legacy model. They tend to bring a few more dollars than the standard Traditional model (straight grip). Also, the magnum sells for $50 – $100 more than the 22 LR. In my opinion I think $1400 is a fair price given your description. You will enjoy shooting this rifle and ammo will not break the bank..
