My Thumb Trigger is marked for 3 calibers. I am not sure, but I doubt any were made in Long Rifle. JWA would know for sure. Big Larry
Hi Larry,
No Thumb Triggers were made chambered for .22 Long Rifle. The TT was dropped from the line prior to the addition of .22 Long Rifle to the low-cost single shot rifles.
Attached are the 4 different Thumb Trigger barrel markings I have (although there may be more?) just in case you are trying to collect all the variations.

What accounts for Jay’s TT marked “02-A”?
My guess is that it is simply an 02-A barrel that has been swapped onto a TT stock since the TT had been discontinued for almost 5 years prior to the 02-A.
The TT and 02-A barrel exterior dimensions are identical so it would be an easy swap.

Not unless I find a real nice one, cheap. Right now it’s M1906’s and 06″s. Got 5 so far. Oh, and S&W’s. Don’t forget the S&W’s. Thanks, Big Larry
Good evening, folks.
First of all I would like to thank you in advance for any given help.
English is not my native language – I am from Brazil – so I apologize for any spelling/writing mistake.
I describe myself as a record collector, but I am very fond of antiques in general.
Although being an appreciator of firearms, here in Brazil we always had strictly laws against any given type of guns and to acquire one is absurdly difficult.
And the worst scenario: Old firearms are illegal and should be destroyed.
So, if you find a Winchester, jump on it.
And I did so.
Well, I won in a private auction a pair of Winchester’s: An early 1906 and a Thumb Trigger.
But the Thumb Trigger is an odd one.
The oddities: Unmarked .32 Winchester Special (I think) barrel, bolt with central firing pin and a slightly different extractor allowing the bolt to retract a little more to eject the larger .32 cartridge case.
The barrel have only a very small “3” stamped near the trigger spring.
Everything else is correct, even the barrel external measurements.
I really don’t know what I have, maybe a custom order or a prototype?
I can provide details, the long history and detailed pictures if anyone have any interest on this subject.
Thank you!

“Odd” is an understatement–if it’s really a .32 WS, you have the most radical conversion ever made! Since it’s hard to believe the breech could even survive a conversion to .22 Magnum. But what’s the barrel marking? Do you have any way to measure the bore diameter?
The TT model is scarce in this country. One in good condition could be worth $1000.

Clarence, thank you for your reply.
There is no marking on the barrel.
I measured it with a caliper and since this caliper is not a digital one, any value is approximate.
Initially I was puzzled by seeing a larger breech than the muzzle, so I inserted a plastic pen with the same breech diameter to see how deep it would penetrate until being stuck.
So I measured it and also measured the breech outer ring (is this correct?) as you will see in the pictures.
With all these data I presumed that a .32 WS would fit.
But searching about different Winchester cartridges, a .30 WCF maybe could fit instead.
Well I need a proper measurement tool, but the important here is the fact that this is not a .22 barrel.
I will attach detailed pictures now.
Thank you!
