Anyone have a good source for a replacement spring for an original Winchester Model 52/56/57/69/75 10-round .22 magazine?
I haven’t found anything specifically made for it, and while I see a few that might work, I would rather not do this by trial and error.

I assume you need one for a .22 LR? I would look for one of the junky Pro-Mag 10rd magazines made for the 52 and harvest the spring from it. They are about $30 new.
I would also contact Wisner’s, they make the current 5-rd magazine springs and maybe can make you one the correct length for the 10rd magazine.
I am looking for a .22 Short 10rd spring and they are unobtainium.

Thanks! Yes, looking for a spring for a 10-round 22LR mag.
I was hoping that someone had found a drop-in replacement from Numrich, MGW, Wolff, etc., perhaps designed for another application, but which would be workable.
There’s a local shop selling vintage parts here in DFW (Lee’s Gun Parts) who may have something; I’ll try them first.
Sorry, I don’t have a 10 round 22 Short magazine (or spring) to compare against, so wouldn’t know what to look for.

Great news! Been awhile since I was there, seems they have grown quite a bit. Coming from a parts background I’m impressed that they can find what they are looking for. I wouldn’t worry about the brand, the copy magazines work as well as the originals for me.

Somebody gave up his Snith & Wesson collection (and likely his ghost as well)., which wound up on consignment. A target version.of a pre-82 22/32 J-frame revolver in like-new condition presented itself and went home with me.
The late collector had the bizarre habit of replacing every set of factory stocks with Pachmayr rubbers, perhaps a symptom of Alzheimer’s?
I drove over to Lee’s on a rainy morning and they brought out a full box of S&W J-frame Walnut stocks for me to choose from. It happened that the nicest square butt set were pre’64 and had diamond shaped screw bezzels.
Once again relieving myself on the throne of Originality, I chose those because they were the most handsome..
