I’m not the best shot and I think I could do better if I had a little practice.
Kind of ’85 I’ve always wanted, but could never afford. Frankly, practice may not compensate for such totally inadequate bench rest eqpt. Nor will you ever see its full potential without using a scope. MVA makes a replica of Winchester’s A5 scope (except with much improved optics), such as were often factory-mounted on this model, and would look PERFECT on this beautiful rifle.
I really can’t justify keeping this gun, and I should sell it if I could get a good price. But I’m not sure what that would be. So for now, unless I get a offer I can’t refuse it will set in the safe.
A scope would be nice, but I don’t want to spend the money. I might splurge on a better bench rest though.

Looks like it has many special order items. Has it been restored? Need a CFM record search at a minimum to see what came from the factory. I would be very happy with the 100 yd. shots without a scope.

I agree, decent group all things considered. Which ammo were you using? I’m having trouble finding a 22 Short round my rifle likes.

Not too impressed with the CCI Target or Remington I’ve found but the CCI is best so far. I doubt many folks are shooting matches with 22 short these days.

Outdoorlimited.com has Aguila (which I usually buy), Rem, CCI in stock now. Also CCI Short Match if you don’t mind paying 10 cents/round.
Clarence you are right about the Aguila. I bought 500 rounds of the CCI because the Aguila the dealer had was a higher velocity than the CCI. I have some 22 pistols, the oldest being from about the early 1860’s so I buy the lowest velocity I can find.
