First year of Expert production, 1/2 nickel model. Not pristine by any means but certainly better than cement mixer grade……

Looks pristine to me. That is a very fine rifle. Congrats on your new treasure.   Big LarrySmileLaughLaughLaugh

Larry,

The blueing is “faded” (worn) to about 30%, pretty weak it is. The Nickel is holding up well.  The forearm is nice however the butt stock has quite a few small compression dings. Bonus Lyman tang and folding rear sight.

Still, a mighty fine little 22. I have a real nice, Plain Jane M1906 that is one of my favorite 22’s. Nice ones are hard to find and can be very expensive. Big LarryM06.jpgImage Enlarger

Looks nice! Lots of honest wear but not abused. Is this a project rifle?

Mike,

This ones a little too nice to redo. It hasn’t been messed with at all. No sign of the screws ever being turned. The Nickel is in really good shape and I can live with the faded blueing. I’ve got more projects than I can finish if I quit work and went full time restoring for the next 5 years.Embarassed

Best,

Erin
