The front sight looks like a Lyman 3 or 28. The 3 has a 1/16 bead, the 28 a 3/32 bead. Both are listed for the 63 in the 1951 Lyman catalog for the 63, with a width of 17/32.

Oops! I guess I should have measured that when I had the front sight out! It is indeed a 3/8″ dovetail. The longer sight body made me believe otherwise.
We’re still waiting to hear from the OP, curious to see what kind of “odd” sight may be on his rifle.
