Is there a new .22 RF book coming out?  I thought I read about this but can’t find it again.  If so looking forward to it.  I’m really getting interested in collecting .22’s now.  My wife figures I have a mental illness also Mr. Bert.  She cant figure out why I have so many .22 Winchesters and no ammo???

I am wrapping up one on the Model 69.  It has been a 6 year project but should be done by the end of the year.  It only covers the 69/69A though.

Regards

Jeff,

That is until you also write one for the Model 56 & 57 rifles !  I am not going to let you off the hook until it is done !!

Of course I won’t forget about the 56/57.  Can I take a vacation in between books?

Awesome!  That is fantastic news, thanks!!  I have asked her in the past (several years ago) but she couldn’t find anything.  I will give her a call.

Maybe I will only take a week off between books now……

Jeff,

In all seriousness, she has it listed on her website that she has the complete PR records for the Model 56.  Because the Model 56 and 57 shared the same serial number range, I am assuming that her records cover both models.

Your offer to only take a week off is duly accepted. Now get busy!!

CCI, I am told, is building another plant to make 22’s. I was very lucky to have gone through the ammo scare unscathed. My Dad had bought me many cases of 22’s before he passed away. I had over 30,000 rds. stashed away. Helping my friends and neighbors out, I now have about 20,000 rds. left. Sportsmans whse. just opened a store here in Cedar City. A friend called and told me they had CCI 22 longs on the shelf. I bought all the 700 rds. they had. Yes, greedy, but you never see them locally. I have many 22’s that will fire these and not the 22 LR. In my collection, I have around 80 22’s of all shapes and sizes. Most, I will never shoot. You should not have any trouble getting 22 LR right now.   Big Larry
