A few weeks I added a Model 63 to my collection. All original, not much wear an it’s a birth year rifle to boot. Tried some Winchester Super X 37 grain HP’s and some 40 grain HP ammo. At 20 yards they shot well for 66 year old eyes and barrel sights. As bad as I hate to say it, CCI Mini-Mag HP’s and solids beat the crap out of Winchester ammo in it. Ten shots with the CCI shells went into 1/2” for both HP and solids. Looks like I have another squirrel killer.

Congrats, Tom. Nothing much sweeter than a good .22 Winchester. My 61 was made the year I was born, have a pretty nice 94 made the same year. My latest 63 was built the year my brother was born, 1958. Thanks for the tip on Mini-Mags, if this 63 makes it back from Cody I may shoot it.
