My M68 has a chrome bolt and trigger. (Ugh-h-h)
Were all the 68s’ this way, or only the late ones? (Makes it look very 1950’s, I think)
Can someone tell me the time frame of these M68s?

The Winchester Model 68 was a single-shot, bolt-action .22-caliber rifle produced from 1934-1945 (with some early post-war factory sales continuing into 1946). Almost all of them came with a chrome plated bolt and trigger. The rifles produced from 1934-1937 came with a finger-groove forend stock.
