Thanks for the kind words.I will talk to Steve and see if he is still interested, it is a massive project though. If I can get some other stuff off my desk later this year I may be able to free up a little bandwidth.
You are just going to have to hang on health-wise though since it will be awhile. Eat your Wheaties.
Best Regards,
Jeff, No rest for the Wicked and the Righteous don’t need it! You give me hope. Now I just need to enlist Lou Luttrell’s help so together we can encourage Steve, on some regular and recurring basis. Sort of like the drone in a Bach fugue.
As an engineer, you’ll understand when I say my beta cells couldn’t handle your proffered bowl of Wheaties. The plot on my Hbgl would look like the trajectory of a Saturn first stage.
But I’ll try to possess my soul in patience and pray to be spared for the time required. And keep me on your list for the 56/57 and 72/72A books, preferably in hardbound editions.
A word of caution: As I found out when I finally slipped harness, in retirement you don’t get any days off and the honeydew lists grow longer. There’s something in the female psyche that is repelled by the sight of a seated male body.
Power to your elbow,
Bill

My wife’s list gets longer by the day. I don’t hurry to get any of them done. If I did the list would only get worse.
She has put up with me for almost 60 years. Today is our 54th anniversary.

I told her this morning I couldn’t believe that she has put up with me this long.
I’d like to hear her response!
I “slipped the harness” less than a year ago and even without a SWMBO on the premises I have been a lot busier than I ever dreamed I’d be. I just made a proposal that I’m pretty sure I’ll regret when I sober up but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I did find the time to submit a very short article to the TGCA magazine so I guess I’m not overwhelmed.
Have you set a retirement date, Jeff?

Chuck, Congratulations to you and yours on such a significant anniversary. Good health and long life to you both. And never take each other’s presence for granted.

Thanks to everyone that replied. Maverick, she actually said the same thing to me about putting up with her. I was waiting for the right hook.
Well I didn’t realize I was in on the conversation.
But after 54 years, next time she gives you any trouble, just tell her you expect your next wife to treat you better!
That’ll get a rise out of her for sure.

Sorry Maverick. I messed up, again. Should have been Mike. No way would I say something like that. That would bring on a major battle. She can carry a grudge for a lifetime. A few months ago the song Susie Q came on the radio and she immediately changed the channel. I asked her why and said I like that song. She said she didn’t like it because I dated Sue xxx in high school. We graduated in 1969.
