Hi guys,
Was looking at a 1935 date of manufacture Model 63. The buttstock wood seems awfully proud on this rifle. I am used to the lever Winchesters, more so than auto loaders, and man used to seeing wood with a prefect fit, or just very slightly proud. Was this the same for the Model 63? Think I may recall seeing something pics of some 61s where the wood seemed quite high, but I don’t want to bank on my poor memory.

Thanks guys.
Will try to pop on here a bit more often. I imagine some of you whom I used to chat with “regularly“ have noted my absence. Been going through a lot of changes on the home front, including a separation and health issues, so guns haven’t been top priority. I actually ended up selling all my 1894 collection, only have a couple auto loaders left for Winchesters. Trying to keep “in it” a bit, but will not be to the same extent for awhile. Other priorities now, health and kids,
Thanks again.
Matt
