JP,

The serial number will tell us the Month & Year it was manufactured.  As it is marked on the barrel, it was manufactured in New Haven, Conn (where the Winchester factory was located).

The value is primarily determined by the graded condition.  Accordingly, we will need to see several clear detailed pictures of the rifle.  Reproduction manuals can be purchased from Cornell Publications.

Thanks for the info Bert

Ill get Some pictures uploaded. It’s not in best condition but it still is in shooting condition and I don’t think it that bad for being 115 years old

I called Winchester and the only thing they told me was the year it was built

Jeez–I’m amazed you got that!  In fact, I’m amazed whomever you talked with knew what a Model 1890 was!

If you called the current company using the “Winchester” name (the Browning Arms company), it is highly unlikely that they provided you with accurate date of manufacture information.  Again, with the serial number, I can give you the correct (accurate) Month & Year of manufacture.
