While it was frigid here I 3D printed and installed new front globe sights for both rifles. It got up to 70 degrees this past Monday so I headed to the range even though it was windy. I was impressed with the M47, I think it shoots better than I can!

Congrats on a fun range day. Looks like you get along well with those rifles!

Better man than I! Warm but gusty here so I addressed other chores. I did get to enjoy piddling around in the loading room but ran out of daylight before I could pack up and head for the range.

You don’t give a distance.

I have 3 M47’s and they are extremely accurate. One M57 which I have never shot.

I normally shoot my 22’s at 50 yards, except my M40 and M52’s which I shoot at 100 yards.   Big Larry

Sorry, I was frustrated trying to imbed pictures. All groups are 10 shots at 50 yards.

Great shooting. I have found, by experience, that most all older Winchester 22’s are very accurate, especially the M69 series. I have pretty much had all the different models of Winchester 22’s, and all shot well. Of course, a lot depends on how good a shot you are, types of ammo, and range conditions. You did well my friend.  Big Larry

Here’s a 50 yard group fired with my M922M1 Springfield 22, shot by a frien1922M1-Target-scoped.jpgImage Enlargerd.

Thank you sir! I’m happy with the few golden oldie Winchesters of ours. I would love to check out your collection Larry.

After giving a few to friends and relatives, it’s merely a hodge podge collection now. At 82, I have chosen to give many of the over 200 guns I own, away. At one time, I had all the model 22’s (pre 64), they made. I started a collection of M1906’s, and went back to collecting Smith and Wessons. The last gun I bought was a 1940 vintage Colt Woodsman. I’m trying to slow down but something will come along I like, and if I have the $$$, I buy it. One of the advantages of old age I guess. I have pics of most of them, and if you would like to see any particular gun, just ask. My email is [email protected]. and if I can be of any help to you, just ask. Mr. JWA of this forum is a personal friend and will vouch for me.  Big Larry
