It made it. Even when I checked this AM there was no notice that it was out for delivery. I was getting ready to call UPS when the doorbell rang, and there she was. Nice 90%er with all the fire blue left on the bolt. One more down and one to go. A M1873 22 rimfire. Got lots to trade for one. Relieved, Big Larry

Meds has a fairly nice one, affordable. http://merzantiques.com/item/winchester-1873-22-caliber
I am hoping that I will have the complete set of Winchester 22’s some day. Would love to see your collection at the Reno show maybe?

After I did $10,000 damage to my truck on the way to the Reno show by hitting a rather large Elk, and my health got worse, coupled with the passing of my wife, I decided after 7 years not to do the show any longer. My best displays were at the old Great Western in Pomona. I have had offers of being picked up and driven to Reno, but I have no one to take care of my pets. I will take some pics when I get them all rounded up. Buying the right M1873 22 may take time. I am retired with a fixed income. I thought about trading into one with some of my other lever guns, but decided not to do so. I am attached to some of them. Thanks Vince for the heads up. Be glad to send individual pics to you of any of my guns. Big Larry

It is a real nice rifle. 2nd month production, early features, and can be lettered. Compared it to my 1950 vintage M63 and they are very close. My friend Tom and I will enjoy shooting a box of $18 Aguila out of it and get it on target at 50 yards, benched. These old rifles have a terrible trigger pull. I will then clean and wax it and put her away in my safe. Now, to begin saving for the M1873 in 22 caliber. Big Larry
