I originally saw this rifle being sold by Pat Mckune in MN on Guns International a few years ago as a VERY early round barrel Long Rifle only configuration. I was “curious” about it then. The same rifle is now sporting a OB .22 Short Only configuration at Puglisi Guns in Duluth, MN!!!
I have added it to the listing of Fake Rifles.

I’ve been reading the various threads on real/fake model 61’s and am posting this one from an upcoming auction for feedback. Model 61, serial #73235, 22 short, 24″ octagon barrel. Please see photos. What do you think?
Hello Big Mac,
I have seen that rifle previously listed on Guns International by a Brad Baker out of Missouri. Your photos are of the same rifle and it appears to be original and unaltered. I did note that it was a quite nice rifle on the GI listing.
