Does anyone know about this engraver ?

Seen his work on a 1890 .22 that had his name on the it right below serial number.

The only piece of information I can provide is this… D.E. Duncan was not a Winchester employee.  I strongly suspect that he engraved that rifle well after the rifle had been manufactured and sold by Winchester.
