Does anyone know when the 94-22 Mag. hammer extension became available to allow for easy cocking when a scope was added to the rifle?  Thanks.  RDB

To the best of my knowledge Winchester never furnished a hammer extension with any of the 9422s.

I bought my new 9422 HIGH GRADE (not a Tribute or a Legacy) in Oct. 1996 for $370. This is a coon & hound model SN F700423. It came with a hammer extension and an Allen wrench. It is still in the little plastic sleeve. Don

Thank you for your replies.   My rifle dates to 1976.  When acquired, it appeared unfired, in new condition with the box and paperwork, but no hammer extension was included.  Due to my aging eyes I find the use of a scope has become necessary for consistent accuracy.  The hammer can still worked without the extension, just a little awkward. I just wondered if it came with the extension.  RDB

Roger,

There are aftermarket hammer extensions for the 9422 available from Uncle Mikes.  You can get them on Amazon.

Thank you tionesta1 for the info. If the Model I have is too early come with the hammer spur then I won’t bother to look for one.  Gotta keep it “original”. RDBWink
