OfflineFirst, an apology. Months ago I did a bunch research which led me to believe this rifle is a Target model produced from 1948-52 rather than a Match.
Unfortunately, I misplaced the information I collected and am asking for some help so I do not have to repeat my previous efforts.
This was my grandfather’s rifle. It has the 4 groove barrel and smooth trigger. The rear sight is the EW model. My grandfather was a machinist, so I’m assuming he drilled and tapped for the Weaver B4 and tip-off mounts – my dad wasn’t sure. I know he swapped the shark, fin sight for the Lyman.
Thanks to anyone that helps me with this.
Jeff

OfflineIt is NOT a 69A Target since it has the round (not flat side ) receiver. Is it chambered for .22 S,L & LR or is the barrel only marked for .22 Long Rifle?
If it is marked for .22 Long Rifle only then it is a 69A Match rifle.

OfflineNice! That positively confirms it as a G6941R post-war Model 69A Match rifle.
That also appears to be the Winchester original sling that the 69A Match rifles came equipped with.
