Just got back from Sportmans Whse. here in Cedar City. They had a bunch of 22 shorts, CB and Target. Same with the 22 Longs. I bought another 200 rds. of Short Target for my stash. Come payday, I will buy some more as I only have 600 rds. of Shorts on hand. Yes, I am quite greedy, but they have plenty and I always leave a little for the other guy. This ammo is high quality CCI. Expensive, Yes. Out the door, $25.43 for 200 rds. $11.99 each + tax.
I don’t shoot this stuff regularly as I have much more 22 LR., but I have 3 rifles that only chamber the shorts. Fun Fun Fun to shoot. Big Larry

Scored 100 rounds of RP HV shorts for $10. I doubt my 74 will be able to tell the difference. Can’t recall seeing Short Target ammo around here but our Sportsman’s Warehouse closed years ago. I REALLY miss that place.
Well Big Larry,
Christmas came early! I received my new Model 73 in 22 short this morning. Once I get home from the duck pond Saturday morning ill be setting up a bench.
I’d like to give a huge thank you to Blueliner (Bill). Great guy to deal with!
You can’t see it, but I’m doing the happy dance
It seems rimfire ammo has returned in abundance. I’ve seen some really good sales the past few weeks and some with free shipping. I even scored a couple bricks of 17 mach 2’s which have been real tough to find unless you were willing to pay $15.00 a box from the scalpers. Midway had a 1 day sale with Norma 22 LR match ammo on sale for $40.00 a brick, CCI 22 shorts were $7.49 per 100. (no free shipping tho) Our local Dunhams had Remington golden bullets on sale for $27.00 for a 525 pack with a $10 factory rebate for each box. (limit 3) $17.00 a brick is getting back to very affordable shooting. I think prices will continue to drop. I believe there is lots of over run piled in warehouses.

I would like to take advantage of all these sales, but my Dad bought me over 20,000 rds. of Federal 22 LR before he passed away and I already stashed 20,000 rds of Winchester. A good friend in Alabama got me all the red box Ely I could use too. Had a need for the shorts and Longs so I stocked up at very high prices. Someone in town here is also stocking up so they don’t last long here. Big Larry

Be very careful of your new treasure. I know it was probably over $4,000, but it is a fun gun to shoot. My friend broke mine down and we Ren Waxed it. I don’t have plans to shoot mine very often. I just bought it to fill one of the last holes in my 22 collection. I probably should have bought this one as it has a oct. bbl., but I wound up with a much scarcer round bbl. 6 times scarcer, but not as desirable. Blueliner must be a good guy, and I am glad you gave him credit. He was very nice to me too. Keep us informed on your new rifle. I hope it works as good as mine. Big Larry
