OfflineDoes it look like this? Unscrew the front screw. The rear screw is for elevation.
The “screw” you are trying to loosen fills the dovetail slot and can be difficult if it has rusted tight. A long and liberal soaking with a good penetrating oil, some light tapping and even heat with a heat gun can sometimes help.
