Bill,
I watch lots of 1890’s, in my opinion the sights on the rifle don’t seem to bring much of an extra premium. If you remove them and sell them seperatley the sights WILL sell for about $300 An original set of 1890 sights will run $65-70 to fill the voids. Third model 1890 WRF’s in decent shape have been selling for $350-500 I’ve been watching them closely for the last few months. The market seems to be very soft with the exception of very high condition originals. What was selling for $400-450 a few years ago is in the $300 range now. There are lots of them listed for more but they are NOT selling. These are just my observations, hope it sheds a little light on the matter.
