A few flags for me, would like to hear a few opinions. There is no grip cap, all 03 deluxe’s I have seen had a Win. grip cap. Pistol grip is checkered and forearm is not. This would be a semi deluxe due to the lack of high grade wood, I can’t say I recall ever seeing another semi deluxe, would this lead to the flags I’m seeing. Then again we have a cheek piece………

What are your thoughts??

Erin,

My money is on the butt stock being an aftermarket replacement or a custom made piece.

I agree Bert, The stock fit is very good tho both on the receiver and butt plate. Who ever did it knew what they were doing.

Lot’s of money being asked for something it’s not. That’s a problem with the 03’s, no difference in the tang shape to differentiate deluxe’s from standard rifles.

I’ve got a deluxe with 3-4X wood waiting for restoration. There is no original finish left on the metal and unfortunately some one saw fit to sand off most of the checkering. It’s border line for being usable wood, I have not looked at in a couple years. I will have to dig it out and reevaluate it.
