OfflineJust sharing this beauty I had restored. I don’t know much about the history unfortunately other than the gentleman I got it from said his grandparents had it for 50+ years. It was a barn find in Utah so I’m assuming the Winchester of Salt Lake listed on the wagon is the division that created it but who knows. Special thanks to Don and Connie at Werner Wagon Works in Kansas for restoring it for me. Hope you guys get a kick out of it!

OfflineThat’s abeautiful piece. I can’t get a grasp of the size of it by the pictures. Is it a horse drawn or I see it has a hand held tongue like it would be people drawn. Either way it would look good in a rec/gun room loaded up with some Winchester guns and goods. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Henry, it was horse drawn. 12 foot long 8 foot tall and about 4 foot wide. I do know it was horse drawn because they said it was damaged from the horse turning a corner too sharp and the wagon tipped over. I added a couple pics so you can see the damage it sustained. I’m hoping someday to take to a gun show and display it along with my collection. Gotta retire first 😀

Bill do you know what year the wagon is or when they might’ve been in service?
Rick I can only guess. I know the last owners had it for over 50 years which puts it to the late 60’s or early 70’s they acquired it. They acquired it in Utah and in fact live just outside Salt lake. I believe Winchester shut down the Salt Lake office in 1931 and I would surmise the wagon was built at some point earlier than that as it is a horse drawn wagon! So complete guess but the wagon could have been built anywhere from 1900 to 1931?
