OfflineNice early Model 94 Henry – I have never had a matted barrel 94 so I am jealous. I’m a fan of the oil finished stocks and the wood on that gun is really nice. Do you have any history on where the gun has been – I would guess in a top notch collection – lots of special order features.

OfflineI bought the gun from Paul Vanderlinden a few years ago at the Cody show. It was His Dad’s gun so it was in His family in Utah for a long time. I traded it off on a presentation Colt Navy. Selling it always haunted Me so the fella I sold it to was gracious enough to let Me buy it back, at a little more money of course. It’ll take a small family fortune to get it out of My hands again. I am working on setting up a collection of 1894 takedowns with various factory extra features. I am trying to track down and purchase a gun I used to own, a 22″ 1/2 oct. extra lite bbl. ’94 with the rear oct. portion matted. Here’s the other 2 that came with the matted barrel ’94. It might take 2 replys, this damned computer won’t let Me post more than 3 pics at a time![]()

Love all the features. How many could there be in that exact configuration and chambering?
