Thanks guys, this is the first carbine I have owned. I have a later (151000) round barrel rifle I bought many years ago that I fired a few times just to say I did.

Congrats! Going to shoot this one?
When I shot the rifle they were $5 a pop, now they are a little more and 25 years or so older and if I bulge the barrel for some reason I think I will kick myself.

I guess since you fired the rifle it’s not really a big deal. I think if I ever bought a 66 I’d want to shoot it at least once. It the bore is clear there’s little chance of damaging it but you make a good point. A carbine as nice as this one doesn’t need to be a shooter, just handling it or looking at it must be an awesome experience.
