A guy whose father-in-law had passed was sent my way. He had a dozen or so guns he wanted to move. The father-in-law, whoever he was, took great care of those guns. It definitely wasn’t a collection, per se; he obviously used them, but I have almost never seen such clean used guns.

A Model 52 and a pre-64 Model 70 (.220 swift), both with immaculate bores. I’ve taken in used guns for 40+ yrs and most of them are dirty if not filthy. I don’t think I’ve ever run a patch through a bore and didn’t get at least some carbon. These two rifles? A wet patch got me the slightest bit of green tint. 

It’s nice to know that some folks take care of things.
