Best thing about 54s was the schnobble fore-end…why was it dropped? That stock should have swivel eyelets, but I don’t see them.
Now that you’ve become a 54 “collector,” you’ll have to look for a .250 Savage!

Yes, i know i need to find some sling swivels eyelets. I am on the hunt for them as we speak.
Clarence, i know how expensive the .250 savage is for the model 70…..i can only imagine how much one would be in the model 54!!

Along with the eyes (what fool removed them???), best swivels to put on this early 54 would be the J-hook style, which was still carried in the catalog at this time. I like them better than the later military style.
