I take it you picked that beauty up at the recent Poulin Auction? I was watching that auction close, it had some once in a life time offerings. Got you a rarity among rarities (which I’m sure very aware of)! Your mold would of been made sometime in 1876. And before the year 1877 when the 3rd model mold was likely introduced. Before 1876 there was no need to stamp the caliber on the mold because there was only one.

I got both of the molds and I kept this one, a friend wanted the other one. I found that this one being a later mold was finished smoother. All of the earlier loop handle ones have a rougher finish.
