The Winchester Arms Collectors Association has received approval for participation of membership in the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). Since 1903, this program has focused on marksmanship skills through practice and competition. The program has evolved to include youth development through marksmanship. Its expansion included making its competitions and military support available to civilians. Congress privatized the program in 1996 with a designation of not-for-profit corporation. Programs provided by the CMP include National Matches, Small Arms Firing Schools, and youth and adult firearms safety, marksmanship and training programs.
As a WACA member, you will now be able to participate in CMP programs, including competing in matches and clinics. You will be able to purchase merchandise as well as government surplus ammunition and rifles through a physical CMP location, eStore or their website. There are certain eligibility requirements and forms that must be completed for any purchases related to ammunition and/or firearms. Please visit CMP Purchase Eligibility Requirements – Civilian Marksmanship Program for detailed information.
Any participation in CMP Programs or purchases made through the CMP will require a valid WACA membership card.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program has a very extensive website. We encourage you to visit the website at Home – Civilian Marksmanship Program. We are pleased to be able to provide you with this additional benefit of your Winchester Arms Collectors Association Membership and hope you will take advantage of all the CMP has to offer.

Great News! Thanks to all who worked on this.
I second that! What a great added benefit for WACA members! Back in the 1960’s my dad purchased two Winchester M1 carbines from the same program for $50 each. He sold one to a friend in the 1970’s and kept one. After dad passed, that one was handed down to me and now resides in my collection. Surprisingly, all parts are Winchester and not mis-matched.

This is wonderful news! I’m working on my application now. It appears a C&R FFL (type 03) is not adequate for shipping. It must be a type 01, 02 or 07 FFL.
Depends on what you’re buying. I bought 2 M1’s a few years ago before I had my C&R and they shipped direct to me. Something may have changed though…
