I just renewed my membership; don’t remember how or when I lost it. But it’s nice to be back and really appreciate some of the comments I’ve been reading coming from some very informed collectors. Thanks.
I am an avid collector of the old Model 70’s. I have quite a few including all published calibers plus a few rarer ones. I’ve read Rule’s book as well as Whitaker’s many times but still end up with unanswered questions from time to time, especially in some of the minute details, ie correct sights, barrel markings etc. From what I have read thus far there is likely a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips from some of the questions and answers posted here.
Living in California this day in age makes me an anomaly to the masses here that believe only the crooks should have guns and for that I regret my physical location but still try to endure in defying the odds. Since I am an active farmer and don’t take time to attend gun shows [they’re nearly extinct in California now given the liberal political mindset] so I end up using a few dealers around the country. I would like to know opinions from more well-informed collectors their opinions on them. If this is a subject that can be broached on this forum I will await confirmation from anyone until I ask any questions. I definitely am not attempting to besmirch anyone’s integrity or honesty, just asking for opinions.
Thanks, Ken
Welcome back Ken!
You can renew your membership for multiple years in advance to save a few dollars but more importantly not have to remember each year to renew. I do it that way because I am forgetful and would lapse every year if left alone to my own devices.
