I bought this Winchester mod. 1873 today. I think the shape is okey for the price. In the buttstock I found this cleaning rod.
I should really appreciate your opinions about that. Is it correct? This is the first time I see it except for pictures in the book.

Nice find! A very acceptable rifle with the benefit of an original, correct 4 piece Winchester cleaning in the butt. The cleaning rod alone is worth $150 – $200.

You are finding some pretty nice old Winchesters over there in Sweden! What is the caliber of that ’73?

It looks like a nice 2nd model 44-40, it has the early rear barrel sight with the flat elevator. The cleaning rods look original.
