briango’s nice saddle pic with his rifle got me going so here are a few of mine. I’m not sure if I’ve posted them here before or not, but if so, sorry.

First one was 38-56 from the factory but someone changed the barrel to a 40-65 so I had it re-bored to a 45-70 and I use it to kill wounded deer on the highway, etc. I like the way it looks:

NICE!

This next one is a 40-82 and was found under a rail road trestle just out side of Malta, Montana in the early 1900s. The Wild Bunch did a robbery there.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!!

I have an old Marlin in 38-55. Came from south Texas. It has 6 notches cut into the wrist area of the stock……..Was it owned by a Texas Ranger and these were the end of 6 bad guys? Or was it owned by a rancher and these notches represent deer? Only God knows……..But I know what I tell my grandsons…..And it weren’t deer!

James

Looks like you have some legit cowboy/western guns there. If they could only talk of course! Thanks for sharing. I need to get a western gun in the collection someday.

James . . . . nice guns and nice photos. I like the cartridge belts. Go well with the guns. 🙂

When I can’t afford to easy my addiction with "more guns" . . . . I take the "edge off" by buying more leather and old west costuming.

I need to get it all out and do a photo of the leather collection.
