Ventured out in the triple-digit heat to visit the orphanage today. A couple of Winchester .22’s in the used gun rack outside of the Gun Library caught my eye; a 67A with no wear on the steel or wood and a 67 that had seen quite a bit of gentle use. The 67A had several handling marks in the wood but was a 90-95% gun. I also spotted a nice enough Model 12 with a standard 28” Mod barrel. I was going for a hat trick but the GL manager kept blocking my shots. I settled for the very nice 67A to keep it from getting any more rack rash.
On the way to check out I snagged a couple of flats of R-word Gun Club skeet loads. Almost laughed when I realized an armload of good shotgun shells cost me more than a pretty sweet Winchester .22.
Nothing remarkable about the 67A, just a very nice clean gun. I won’t waste the bytes posting pics unless requested.

Nothing just “follows you home” when you have an industrial sized (junkyard) electromagnet tied to your posterior !!
Are you talking about my Cabela’s card? Thanks to inflation I nearly had enough points to cover the rifle.

Nice review of 67s in the March Rifleman–close to a doz different variants, inc. the pre-war scoped models. Considering your interest in scatterguns, you should keep an eye peeled for one of the smoothbore models. I’d really like to pattern one of these to find out how much is gained over a rifled bore, the effective range of which is not beyond 10-15 ft.
