That’s a very nice Deluxe Rifle! When you find them like that, I don’t really care what caliber they are in, even though some of us may have a first wanted caliber on the list. A Deluxe Rifle, to me is still A Deluxe Rifle, even if it is only a Collectors terminology and not a Winchester term.
How much do you know about it? The yr. mfg?
Is it one you have been eying, or just stumbled upon?

I can’t help but ask, all the questions as another collector would do.

Am I mistaken or was the 40/82 case the basis for the later 401?
