Here’s a bunch One doesn’t see every day in a group, all 1st. models, (10 o’clock screw), ser#75, ser#230, ser#1659, ser#2215, all 38-55, oct bbl. all mfg. in 1894 except the takedown,(1895)

Take a look at the ser# application dates and the shipping dates , ser#75 was #’rd Oct15, ’94 but didn’t ship until Feb. ’95, about the same time as #2215. Now I need a single digit gun to round out this set.

To give you a some encouragement, I have personally seen and documented serial numbers 3, 5, and 8. The factory ledger record (see picture below) is blank for serial numbers 1 – 7 and 9 – 17, but the rifles were assembled and are out there somewhere.
