Rick,
My friend Bob (Robert) needs to revise his information regarding 1/2 (button) magazine Carbines… they most certainly are not rare, or even all that uncommon. I have approximately (150) of them dcumented in my reserch survey. What is rare, is a Trapper Carbine with a 1/2 mag (I have found two of them thus far).

Glad I didn’t pay a premium for rarity.
Since you didn’t, & since it’s not as rare as you had believed, I’ll volunteer to take it off your hands for what you paid for it. Of course, I’m sure you won’t mind covering shipping & the FFL charge. Would be considerate to throw in a box of ammo, but I won’t insist on that.

Lol Clarence please tell me we will meet someday at a show or something. Better yet I will buy the beers or scotch…..as long as it doesn’t cost more than the ammo & shipping!!

Bert I just noticed the date on the barrel. I remember something about mis dated barrels.
Rick,
What is the serial number? The August 14 patent date error adds some interest to the gun. The shotgun butt was a special order feature. The 3-leaf Express sight and the 1/2 magazine were “optional” order features.

Is it safe to assume that my 18″ baby carbine is one of the two you have noted?

Hello Rick,
No, that is not a safe assumption. My research survey only covers serial numbers > 353999.
