Bob1873man if you see this … did the Cody letters often say “rifle” for an actual musket?
No they did not. Never seen this before. I would find it hard to mistake a musket for a rifle but one thing catches my eye on the letter is that there is no barrel shape listed if they were entering a rifle. A musket is just entered as a musket and caliber, no barrel shape. I think this is a error by the person entering it.

I would never deal with this company. They say they are 2A supporters but won’t ship to Ca. I really dislike these kinds of dealers. There is no law that prohibits an antique to be shipped to Ca. Modern guns require that they be shipped to a FFL.
Hi Chuck, we do ship to California! Take some time whenever you have a minute and visit our California Compliant firearm page that you can find HERE. Hope you find something you like!

OfflineWhen I visited your site you list about 11 States you won’t send guns to. One was Ca.
You say this rifle is an antique? All antiques can be shipped to a Ca. buyers house as far as I know.

I strongly suggest that you revise your website to make it much clearer. If the first thing a potential bidder/buyer sees is this…

They are very unlikely to find your buried California Compliant firearm page.
As a side note, I am a Washington resident… do you also have a Washington Compliant firearm page ? Just like California, there are no restrictions on shipping bona fide “Antique” firearms to Washington state residents.

That’s what I figured since it’s obviously a musket and not a “made up” one.

Hi Chuck, thanks for pointing that out. We currently do not ship used guns to California but is something we are working on in the future. As you know, certain states have more hurdles than others and it makes it difficult for us to fulfill. As we continue to grow and get more resources and capabilities, we hope to have this feature in place. Hope that provides you a clearer understanding and we value your feedback!
