I am updating links in this old post (no more Photobucket access).
I recently had the opportunity to obtain a replacement short carrier for one of my
solid frame first model 1890 rifles. These are almost impossible to find in any decent original condition. A very good friend and fellow collector, who has access to a vast amount of state of the art machine tooling agreed to produce a limited amount of these carriers. He graciously sent me one to see how it would install and work in my 124 yr old rifle.
Here is a quick picture of the new carrier next to the old broken one.
I prepared a blog post on the process and results of fitting this new part. Collectors of Model 1890 Winchester may find it interesting. Please take a look here.
Unfortunately, my friend has no more carriers available.

Many thanks to [email protected] for this part.
Does he only make carriers for the short or can he make the long or WRF?
