A thread chaser will only work if the rest if the screw is out. Its designed to straighten the old threads. You would need the tap to recut the rest of the old screw if you have it drilled out enough and you match the old threads otherwise you will have two sets of threads.

Could try Homestead, they sometimes have taps as well as screws.
