Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding stock repair particularly splits in stocks that have not split apart. I was watching Larry Potterfield on one of his Midway USA video’s fix a stock by drilling in holes and using a syringe injecting the Gorilla glue in so as to pressure the glue through the crack (small hole small needle). I was wondering if anyone has used that method also if anyone used Gorilla Glue for a stock repair?

Seems like drilling a hole would be a preferred method. Very little margin for error when gluing individual pieces because of the extremely short working time of Gorilla Glue.

Don’t ask me how I know.

I saw a video on another forum one time where the guy used Gorilla wood glue and then used a thin guitar string to get it in a crack and then taped it tight with green painters tape like a clamp. Worked perfect he said.
