Is it possible to repair/replace or re-chamber a worn chamber on a model 1886 takedown in 40-65. If possible what would a ballpark cost be for this.
The barrel is still good however it appears that someone in its 120 year life did some work on it. The 40-65 cartridge seats in too deep and the extractor
can’t grab it to eject, as well as some play.

I’m looking for recommendations also.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks Dan

Dan,

I suggest that you contact Mike Hunter here on the WACA forums. He is best qualified to answer your question.
