I have manufactured out of Heat Treated 4140, original configurations Takedown assemblies for both the 1885 High Wall and Low Wall. In both unfinished or finished. Finishing is in True Bone and Wood Charcoal with Nitred Bluing on the latch and internals. Contact me if interested. Thanks

John,

You have incorrectly finished them. All factory original Model 1885 Take Down Rifles, Muskets, Shotguns, and Schuetzen Rifles were blued.

That is not a problem. Case hardening colors can easily be removed and Charcoal blued as a choice. Thanks for your comment.
